A Christian who rebels against God’s Word is not a Christian at all

About This Quote

People are often confused about the difference between being a Christian and being a Christian. According to Martin Luther, an "A Christian who rebels against God’s Word is not a Christian at all." He wrote, "By the term ‘Christian,’ I do not understand any one who goes to church, believes that Christ is his savior, talks about the forgiveness of sins, calls for repentance, preaches works of charity, believes that he will be rewarded in heaven for these deeds, or considers himself to be a member of Christ's flock. If you are such a person, I must tell you that you are not a Christian at all! Such people are excluded from the fellowship of Christians. Only the word ‘Christians’ applies to those whom God has regenerated through faith in Christ."
